Climbing

September 9, 2007

This is a boy who had never fathom that he would even get to sip a glass of water in a restaurant. Growing up in a modest family made him a practical man. Never setting up too high a dream because the odds are usually leaning towards a one big disappointment.

But hardwork has always been his guiding force. And as he grew up he begins to savor the increments. Now that he finally graduated he finds himself propelling into the top percentile of the society. For many it would have been a dream to embrace, for him it seems to be too good to be true.

Where home is with utter chaos, he comes back each day to a pristine apartment, finds himself flying in business class, shaking hands that extend out from tailored suits, settling for nothing less than a deluxe.

He is learning to embrace reality yet he finds himself in deafening loneliness.

He misses home.
