Taking Off

It took me by surprise when she professed her blessings for me to make my own decision on the return date.

“… opportunity takes precedence over ceremonial affairs.”

This is the woman who brought me into the world, and then raised me up to explore it.
This is the woman whose mantra I live by: “…to be the best, do something that you like.”

I could not have asked for more.
