Kahramanmaras is where dondurma (turkish ice cream) originates from. Malatya is known for its apricots. Van is where you get the best breakfast meal in Turkey (checked), and latest gold findings:

1) Afyon (in Western Anatolia) is where opium poppies are legally grown aka ‘hashasli cicekeri’. Afyon is responsible for one-third of the world’s supply of pharmacy-grade opium/hash.

2) Afyon which is about 4.5 hours away from Usak is renowned for its KAYMAK (the thick cream which i have been raving about ever since I set foot in this country)!!! which is said to be so good because the cows graze on magic poppies.

So guess where I’ll be heading to this weekend. Grin.

Now that I am done with theories and hypothesis of the universe, I’ve decided to take my course a step further.
Tomorrow evening comes a 72hr train ride to Iran; Tebriz - bus to Tehran - Esfahan by Wednesday - Shiraz - and possibly the holy ground of Mashhad.

All in slightly more than a week, covered from top to toe. I have to shop for headscarfs tomorrow morning and mentally prepare the rest of the self.
